Timothy O’Toole

Timothy is a litigator and trial attorney focused on casualty and New York Labor Law matters. A former Assistant District Attorney, Tim is especially skilled at handling a large, varied docket of cases and has been known to manage up to 200 at one time.

His ability to successfully handle criminal cases – select juries, present evidence, work with investigators and conduct trials – provides a strong foundation for accomplishing the same results in civil matters.

Tim has a knack for drawing out information, even in the direst of circumstances, from witnesses, alleged victims, and others. Being a D.A. trained him to be an effective negotiator and communicator, as well as prepared him to work with investigators and experts of all kinds to get the information needed to create compelling litigation strategies.

He also conducts probing legal research and evaluates relevant information related to his cases.

In addition to serving as a D.A., Tim held numerous positions that provided him with a perspective that informs his civil practice, including serving as a legal aide to a senator, working for the New York Police Department as an advocate and interning at a law firm.
