Susan W. Mason
Susan Mason is an associate in Coffey Modica O’Meara Capowski’s New York office, where she focuses her practice on professional liability and medical malpractice matters. Known for being detail-oriented and a succinct, persuasive writer, Susan supports cases with impeccable research and compelling briefs. She prepares and writes memoranda of law, motions, litigation reports, legal correspondence and deposition summaries for litigation. She also attends hearings, scheduling conferences, pretrial meetings, oral arguments and depositions.
Prior to joining CMOC LLP, Susan worked as an associate in the Stamford office of a national law firm, where she discovered her passion for professional liability and medical malpractice. Though a junior attorney, Susan’s lifelong ambition of becoming a lawyer led her to start pursuing her legal career before graduating from college. She was as a summer associate with an Am Law 200 law firm, where she prepared and drafted legal research memos, case and deposition summaries related to insurance defense litigation. She then served as a legal intern following her first year of law school and volunteered with the Domestic Assistance Program in Hartford Family Court, where she assisted underserved individuals with paperwork and attended trials, hearings and pretrial meetings. She also provided pro bonosupport at UConn’s Intellectual Property and Entrepreneurship Law Clinic.
Susan is a member of the West Hartford Rotaract Club.
