Associate
Adam Amirault is an associate in Coffey Modica O’Meara Capowski’s Buffalo office, where he supports the firm’s Litigation/Appellate Strategy and Consulting Group.
Overview
Adam draws on his experience in the criminal legal sector with the Appeals and Post-Conviction Unit of the Legal Aid Bureau of Buffalo. He first joined that unit during law school as a New York Pro Bono Scholar, remained there after graduation as a staff attorney, and later served as the unit’s Managing Attorney. It was there that he polished his persuasive writing and research skills that he applies to the firm’s high-stakes complex litigation.
Prior to becoming a lawyer, Adam worked in the investment industry in communication and regulatory analyst roles, where he was responsible for analyzing and drafting communications describing changes in regulations to internal clients, financial advisors, and consumers. In those roles, he discovered his ability to analyze legal concepts and communicate effectively with different audiences.
